Ashtonbee Campus – Centennial’s oldest property - is home to our automotive programs, select liberal arts and pre-health programs, as well as a few of our community and health studies programs. The building, previously the former headquarters of Volkswagen Canada, offers two-storeys of learning space with full-size labs to work on transportation equipment, as well as a bookstore, cafeteria and 300-seat auditorium.
In 2013, the campus underwent a significant expansion with a new library building as well as a larger gym facility. The bold rejuvenation of the campus space was the recipient of a number of architectural design awards, including the 2016 Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia – Award in Architecture – Merit Awards and the 2015 Toronto Urban Design Awards – Public Building in Context – Award of Excellence.
Centennial College provided a great education and gave me opportunities to learn subjects interesting to me. Special thanks go to the faculty, who provided support and access to the materials and tools required for my success. In addition, facilities were up-to-date and available, and the staff were always there to help as well. The variety of skills obtained at school allowed me to acquire different job positions to future improve my knowledge and acquire my current developer position at RBC, where I’m happily working now. — Ilmir Taychinov, Software Engineering Technology - Game Development, Graduate, 2016
